Lilly joined our broodmare band late in 2010.  She is a gorgeous dark bay mare that is really well balanced at put together.  Lily is broke to ride and has a really nice disposition.

This is a great minded, well bred mare and a rare daughter of War O Lena. She is a new addition to our breeding program and definitly an asset.

We recently acquired Lena late in 2010.  Lena is a broke mare, and more of a chestnut than a sorrel.  Lena is an athletic mare that is quick on her feet.  We’re very excited to add this well bred mare to our broodmare band.

Tivio is a very accomplished cutting horse in her day, and resembled “cat like” moves in front of a cow, regularly marking 74′s and 75′s. Her offspring have been successful in the cutting arena also. Velvet Cash is Velvet Hickory’s maternal granddam, so there are some very string cow horse genetics here.

Tivio has definitly done her time raising babies.  She now has a new job, back to packin a saddle and what lucky grandchildren to ride such a lovely broke mare (and past champion).  At 26 years old, she is now a babysitter and love for our grandchildren.

Jane is a nice young mare we raised out of our Little Rumlena mare. Jane takes after her sire, Lena Talks Cash, as being a good sized, long muscled mare with a quiet, good natured disposition. Her dam, Little Rumlena, has been such an asset to our program, both as a broodmare, and as a great ranch horse. She has NCHA earnings, and has done everything at home from dragging calves to packing grandkids.

Three Bars: Earner of $20.840.00 The Leading Sire of Racing Quarter Horses for many years. American Quarter Horse Hall Of Fame 1989. Three Bars was the sire of 29 AQHA Champions, 4 AQHA Supreme Champions, 317 Racing ROM earners, and his foals earned more the $3 million.

Chicado V: Race SI-100 AAAT ROM Race. 1951 Champion Quarter Horse Racing 2yr old Filly. Breeder/Owner Frank Vessels, Loas Alamitos, CA. In her first race as a 2yr old, she set a track record. At the Los Angeles Fairgrounds at Pomona, she ran 350 yards in 18.1 seconds, then the fastest time ever clocked by a 2 year old at the distance. Chicado V had speed to burn.

After her race career was over, Chicado V produced Triple Chick, War Chick, Table Tennis, Three Chicks, Chicado Chick, and The Ole Man. These horses were AQHA Champions, Racing Champions and Producers of Champions.

Chicado V had nine foals, all of her foals had a total of seven stake race wins. One of her daughters, Table Tennis, went on to become a noted broodmare herself, as did Table Tennis’ daughter, Rapid Volley and graddaughter Perks.

The blood still flows today, for example, in 2005 World Champion DM Shicago, whose sire, Separatist, traces to the mare and in Corona Cartel, 2005′s leading sire by earnings, whose sire, Chicks Beduino, also traces to Chicado V.

Chicado V was inducted into the American Quarter Horse Hall Of Fame in 2006.

This is a gorgeous mare with alot of athletic ability and desire to work. She was bred and raised by the Rhodes River Ranch in Washington. She loves to work a cow and has a ton of athletic ability and energy to do so.

RR Shays Gem is a very deep bodied mare with exceptional bone and foot. She is a full sister to Peponita O Shay, a gelding we raised that is currently winning 2D Barrel Racing Jackpots in Texas. She is also out of a mare we raised by our Peponita stud (see stallion section).

This mare is full of talent and athleticism. She’s a huge stopper and can come through herself with hardly any effort at all. Rated PG was shown very successfully in cutting by Gerry Hansma and Kims Lady Doc was 9th at the AQHA World Show ridden by Morgan Lybbert.

Most recently, Clint Swales trained and showed a full brother to Rated A Lady – named Pure Latigo, at the NRCHA World Finals in Stephenville, Texas and won the Limited Open Hackamore. Trainers like Brad Pedersen, Les Timmons, John Swales, and Clint Swales have all ridden offspring out of Kims Lady Doc. She is a proven producer, and she has a long list of offspring that have been in the winners circle.
